America Is Starting To Wake Up

America Is Starting to Wake Up

“Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing. He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.” John Stuart Mill,1867

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20

When I was a soldier in Europe in the 80’s and 90’s, we would sit around sometimes and consider how blessed we were to be Americans, U.S. citizens. We often spoke about how we felt that our country would never end up like

Europe  did during WWII, easily over ran by the Nazi’s. We believed and  expressed the well known and accepted attitude that American;s don’t give up, we had a can do attitude know matter situation or circumstances.

What we meant was that we would not give up so easily, without a fight like many did in Europe. Our point of view was that even with all the issues we had in America, she would have to be taken street by street.

One reason that we felt this was was because we were taught the greatness and good of America. We were living in Europe and we could see first hand the blessing it was to be an American. With all of our flaws, we always find a way to overcome them and go forward united.

Where has that America gone? We openly talk about free speech being criminalized, and many in our government openly supporting it. We no longer have a public education system to prepare the next generation to lead our nation. No, now it’s full of anti-American propaganda and the dumbing down of our society.

What’s Really Going On

The Founders understood that in order for a free people, a Democratic Republic to function it needed a well educated, informed people. In other words writing, reading and arithmetic, critical thinking and a reverence for the word of God.

“It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.” Patrick Henry

One of the ploys of the proponents of evil, division in this nation is the constant drum beat of systemic racism all over our nation. I missed that memo! Every reason for a person of color not to succeed is wrapped up in racism and white supremacy.

But I have a vision of America that is not divided, a hope that is not in vain. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12

In 1952 President Harry Truman signed a bill into law, making the National Day of Prayer for America an annual event on the first Thursday of May, encouraging millions across our nation to unite together to pray.

And now, more than ever, maybe America needs more than a National Day of Prayer, however great and needed that is. Maybe America needs days of prayer, hearts that are continually shaped and changed by prayer, lives that are loving and bold because of prayer, a nation that comes back to our God with a spirit of prayer, that is continually asking for His grace and healing.

That same power that broke prison chains, raised Lazarus from the dead, and parted the Red Sea, the same power that healed the blind man, and delivered the delirious from demons, that same power is at work still today. He is the same. Yesterday, today, and forever.

May we stand together and pray for God to heal our land, and strengthen His people. May we pray for all those in authority. May we pray for God’s miraculous intervening, for blind eyes to be opened, for many to see the power of our Lord as never before.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He choose for His inheritance.” Psalm 33:12

And for times when it’s difficult to know even what to pray, we can trust these words as a place to begin, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”  Romans 8:26

The Great Reset

The world has for many years talked about the One World Government, the desire to remove borders and eliminate the nation state. In the eye’s of man to unite the world under a one world leader would be utopia. This is but a trick of the devil, to try and replace the salvation of Jesus Christ with an imitation.
