While the Bible clearly affirms the equality of men and women (see Galatians 3:28), it also tells us plainly that God has assigned the responsibility of spiritual leadership in the home to husbands: “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them” (Colossians 3:18-19). It’s important to remember here that a difference in roles doesn’t mean “unequal.” God doesn’t consider wives inferior, inadequate, less important, or less responsible than husbands.

Spurgeon once said: “People have often asked me, ‘What is the secret of your success?’ I always reply that I have no other secret but this, that I have preached the gospel – not about the gospel, but the gospel; the full, free, glorious gospel of the Living Christ, who is the Incarnation of the Good News. Preach Christ, brethren, always and everywhere.”

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word,
you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s
descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say,
‘You will be made free’?”

Today we’re going to look at the danger of sleeping spiritually. The scriptures indicate three reasons that there is NO TIME TO SLEEP: we’re in a storm, we’re in the presence of the enemy, and Jesus needs us now! Sleeping is a wonderful blessing. It Refreshes the body; gives new strength and will.

The Bible is the infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16). Everything contained within the pages of the Bible is divinely inspired. The Bible contains different time periods with different cultures, but it never changes. The Bible does not change because God never changes (Hebrews 13:8).

Therefore, if you have been raised together with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.

Is there any hope… for a single mom who works a full-time job by day, serves as both mother and father by night and wonders to herself, “How long can I keep this up?” Or the person who battles depression and anxiety?
Or the person who stands by their spouse’s bedside as they lay dying?

However, sometimes it seems like we stop moving forward in the spiritual life at all. We seem to stall in the spiritual life, and when that happens we feel stuck.We’re no longer feeling closer to God, no longer seeing God transform our habits and attitudes, no longer hopeful and optimistic that things will change.
